Door to Door Collection Drive

The Zimmedar Shehri Flood Relief Mission 2011 door-to-door collection drive will be taking place this Saturday and Sunday (1^st and 2^nd of October, 2011) and we need ALL of you to help out.

The meeting point on Saturday is 61-D FCC Syed Maratib Ali Road, Gulberg IV, Lahore at 2 pm. On Saturday we will be targeting Gulberg and other adjoining areas, which includes, houses, markets and other public areas where we can get people to pledge aid.

Then on Sunday we will be moving to Defence and the meeting point will be outside Hot Spot at 2pm. Bring along with you all your friends, your families, spread the word.

Although we will be providing volunteers with mosquito repellants, we strongly advice you to take all necessary precautions to protect yourself from mosquito bites.

At the meeting point on both occasions, (depending on the number of people available) we will split up into groups and target various areas in the vicinity.

A Zimmedar Shehri administrator will be leading each group and you will be provided with pamphlets giving an introduction to Zimmedar Shehri and also a customized name tag so you can introduce yourself as a member of Zimmedar Shehri when you ask for donations. If the time is not convenient for you kindly call on the numbers given below so we can make alternative arrangements and form another group if possible at a later time.

Last years door-to –door collection drive was a massive success and we managed to raise around a million rupees along with a lot of relief goods from different houses in Lahore.

We will be continuing this drive for as long as it takes and will let you know the next date, time and venue. For the time being please try and make it to these events and inform everyone you can.

It would be helpful if you could ask your family and friends to donate money/relief goods for the Zimmedar Shehri Flood Relief Mission 2011. The flood-affected people in Sindh really are in dire straits and every rupee you collect would be precious to them.
